I’ve decided create a little VoIP guide in order to help those who are not exaclty tech-addicted: here you can find the right VoIP app for your needs.
I’m going abroad and I need to be reacheable on my mobile. I don’t want to use computers or smartphones.
The right VoIP app is Rebtel;
- It provides a local number to associate with your mobile phone.
- Relatives and friends will call you using the local number instead of making an internationa call. Your cell will ring (almost) whenever you are.
I want to make cheap calls from home using a landline phone
Then you need of Jajah;
- connecto to Jajah website and digit your phone number
- enter the number of the person you want to call
- Your phone will ring
- Hang on and wait until the other do the same
This kind of VoIP is called callback VoIP .
I ‘ve an ultimate smartphones with a flat internet mobile connection. I am interested in voice calls
Well, Truphone is the best to make VoIP over 3G/wifi calls. The quality of the calls is excellent. Recently a new competitor of Truphone came out: Nimbuzz Out.

I don’t care about mobile, I wanna seat in front of my big PC with headset on…
Well, there’s plenty of choice. I recommend Skype but t you can choose also Gizmo5, VoIPStunt, Globe7 or many other similar VoIP software.

Well, you have a lot of apps to choose from;
I’m far from home but i want to let my mum call with uncle using a landline phone
It seems impossible but it isn’t 
You have to install on your mobile phone Jajah Mobile Suite. Launch the app and enter your mum’s number together with the number of your uncle
- your mom’s phone (landline or mobile) will ring
- after your Mom pick up the phone your uncle’s phone will start to ring
- when your uncle will answer they can start to talk
